Which places have the best weather all year round?
With the default "Warm & dry" day (a high of 18–33 °C, at most 1 mm of rain, wind under 20 km/h), the stations with the most such days in 2023–2025 were La Gomera Aeropuerto, Spain; Sidi Ifni, Morocco; Kailua Kona Ke Ahole Airport, United States; San Diego (San Diego International Airport), United States; Cherif El Idrissi, Morocco. Change the thresholds on the map to see where your own kind of day is most common.
Where is it warm and dry in winter?
In January the most reliable warm, dry days were at Bata Rio Muni, Equatorial Guinea; Agadir (Al Massira), Morocco; Mexico City (Mexico Central D.F.), Mexico; Imphal, India; in December at Dhankuta, Nepal; Colonia Juan Carrasco Mazatlan Sin., Mexico; Tetulia Panchagor, Bangladesh; Tamanrasset, Algeria. Pick a month under "When" to map any month of the year.
How are comfortable days counted?
A day counts when it passes every test you switch on: the daily high within your range, rain or snow below your limit, mean wind below your limit and, optionally, daytime cloud cover below a limit. Days with a missing reading are skipped and each month is scaled to its length, so the yearly figure is an average year.
Where does the weather data come from?
Every number comes from real measured days, not climate models: daily highs, precipitation and wind from NOAA's Global Surface Summary of the Day at 3,900+ weather stations (2023–2025), and daytime cloud cover from NOAA's Integrated Surface Database. Stations without a working rain gauge or with unreliable cloud reports are left out.
Why is some land hatched grey?
Hatched land is more than 300 km from any station with good records. It means no data, not a low count. Mountain stations far above their surroundings are not used for the shading either, since they would paint cold, windy halos over the valleys around them.
